Overview

WanderHer was conceived as a direct response to the safety challenges and negative experiences often faced by solo female travelers. To address this, we developed a comprehensive web platform that bridges the gap between travelers and verified female locals. The client-side application empowers users to curate personalized itineraries, book unique local activities, and engage in real-time consultation with guides through an integrated chat system. On the supply side, we built a dedicated merchant portal that allows local women to monetize their expertise by creating, listing, and managing their own tourism offerings. Central to the platform's integrity is a robust verification module I implemented to ensure that every participant—both traveler and guide—is accurately vetted. This project not only delivers a seamless booking experience but also creates a secure "circular economy" that prioritizes female safety and fosters authentic, sustainable cultural exchanges.
